Proposed School Timetable Changes for 2017-18

posted 16 May 2017, 12:19 by Simon Bush

Just a line to thank all our parents for coming to meet at school on Tuesday 16th May to discuss the proposed timetable change and earlier finish on Fridays from next year. We appreciate you sharing your concerns and these have been noted. As mentioned in the meeting, the school is consulting parents and the decision will ultimately be yours to make in the vote next week. Should the timetable change go ahead, the school has promised to look into:
  • A variety of enrichment clubs that will run from 1-3:00pm on Fridays
  • Priority for working parents/parents at the afternoon McMillan sessions for these clubs
  • A snack during the Friday afternoon session for pupils
  • Taking pupils home at lunchtime on the Friday
  • A reduced price for the after school club on Fridays
  • A finish time that allows parents to pick up from  McMillan with ease
  • The type of provision for our youngest pupils in Reception
  • Meeting the needs of SEND pupils during these changes
  • Having a plan ready in plenty of time for a September start
YOR VIEWS ARE IMPORTANT! If anyone didn't have their questions answered, or you were unable to make the meeting please contact us via the office to discuss them.

The consultation vote will go out on Monday next week.

Thank you for your support.
